As the Head of Lease COE, you will join DLL at a pivotal moment to build up and lead the Asset Based Finance Center of Excellence (CoE) for Rabobank Group. The CoE is an organizational part of DLL providing product, asset management, remarketing expertise and steer to the DLL vendor business and Rabobank business, next to overseeing the Group Lease strategy and performance for the NL market. Your leadership will be crucial in creating value for Rabobank Group by focussing on an asset based approach for the Group ,and drive and coordinate products and propositions within DLL Netherlands and Rabobank while managing the governance and processes succesfully in both organizations to deliver on our joint ambition.

As the Leasing Center of Excellence lead you will be responsible for:

  • Using your existing knowledge & experience you will be the lead and reference for asset based finance focus to support commercial growth and asset based value creation
  • Collaborate closely with all relevant departments like e.g. RaboLease, Commerce, Tribe Business Lending and Global Asset management, through the full asset based value chain, nationally (Rabobank, DLL) and internationally (DLL)
  • Drive asset value creation by delivering new products and propositions to support the ambitious commercial targets in both organizations
  • Apply your creativity to develop customer-centric solutions, including those generating non-interest income based on identified market opportunities
  • Utilize your experience and strong relationship-building skills at all levels within both organizations to boost asset based finance within NL and deliver the Groups strategic ambition
  • Operate within a highly networked international matrix environment and national regional environment
  • Coach and motivate the CoE team to take initiative, foster member satisfaction and engagement, and support the personal development of individual team members
  • Value diversity and create an inclusive environment
  • You will oversee the establishment from the operational processes related to asset management and remarketing and at the same time be the strategic sparring partner for several DLL and Rabobank departments to drive asset value maximization
  • Manage human resource development in collaboration with the DLL HRM department, engaging in recruitment, performance appraisals, pay reviews, and Learning & Development initiatives
  • Collaborate and act as a team player, steering collective efforts while considering all stakeholders
  • Play an active role on the DLL Benelux Management Team
  • Develop and present the Dutch NL strategy to the Joint governance body Rabobank / DLL
  • Manage the monthly and quaterly performance cycle evaluating the asset based performance of the Group

In this role you will report into the General Manager of the Benelux DLL organization and will act as a sparring partner to the Rabobank Lease senior leadership.

Day to day:

  • Develop and lead the execution of the Group Lease (asset based finance) Strategy via annual plans and close cooperation with the business
  • Establish tangible and measurable asset value creation (with the business owners) in a coordinated approach across key stakeholders/ asset based finance value chain
  • Owning timelines, managing dependencies, setting and managing scope and expectations, highlighting potential risks and issues, informing teams of business priorities within DLL and Rabobank
  • Develop reporting approach and tools for the Joint Governance to monitor progress on KPIs and Strategic execution.
  • Ensure that relevant Committees, Boards and steering groups within DLL/Rabobank are able to monitor and track-trace key projects and programs (e.g. PARP)
  • Use external and internal insights to make recommendations on the areas that require strategic adjustment or attention. Identify bottlenecks and risks and recommend response.
  • Close collaboration with DLL and Rabobank stakeholders as product management, pricing, FR&R, business to ensure proper development and alignment of supporting strategic and commercial priorities.

Essentials:

  • Degree in Business Administration, General Management, or Business Economics.
  • 10 - 15 years of experience in the asset finance industry.
  • Relevant experience in a leadership role / MT role.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic vision and leadership to create business value.
  • Demonstrated success in setting up new teams and structures
  • Strong influencer with excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of navigating effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams, inspiring and elevating them
  • Experienced asset based leader with strong influencing skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch and business English (both spoken and written)
  • Understanding what it takes to establish effective asset management and remarketing processes

Extras:

  • Business experience in DLL’s line of business and/or Rabobank is preferable
