Strategy Consultant Lease
Within the Benelux organization of DLL, a Lease Center of Excellence is established to support Rabobank Group in their Lease growth ambition via DLL (vendor finance) and Rabobank (banking channel) in the Dutch market. Within the Center of Excellence, a new role is created to coordinate, manage and update the Lease NL Strategy which has been developed for Rabobank Group in 2025. We are looking for an experienced, hand-on consultant with excellent understanding of the equipment finance / lease market (products, distribution channels and customer groups) within NL to coordinate and steer the strategy within Rabobank and DLL. This implies that you track the progress of the strategy implementation, development of reporting tools / dashboards to monitor progress on strategic initiatives in 2025 and forward, manage the yearly budget process, and work closely with the Dutch DLL organization and relevant departments within Rabobank (e.g. finance, Rabolease, Tribe Business lending) to ensure full alignment and focus on Lease. You will use insights on macro-economic and industry trends, as well as product and risk analysis to further update and improve the strategy. Additionally, you will provide oversight and/or direct management of other important projects and initiatives as identified by the joint governance lease body between DLL and Rabobank.

Day to day:
- Act as a sparring partner to the General Manager Benelux, head of Lease Rabobank and senior leadership
- Support DLL and Rabobank with strategic lease projects in the Dutch market as well as manage and monitor the progress and realization thereof
- Coordination and management of project to refresh the Dutch Lease Strategy when required
- Responsible for managing project priorities, timelines, budgets, investments and resourcing
- Ensure that relevant Committees, Boards and steering groups within both organizations are able to monitor and track-trace key projects and programs. Create and distribute progress and exception reports on status of projects and programs to the relevant Committees, Boards and steering groups are timely provided.
- Proactively share insights from analysis and identify areas that deviate and require attention. Make recommendation based on information available from reporting.
- Close collaboration with all relevant departments within the local and global DLL organization (e.g. asset management, product management, commercial and finance) and Rabobank (e.g. finance, Rabo Lease and Segment Value Propositions)
- Stimulate a community and play a coordinating role in communication (SharePoint Sites, Portals)
- Active engagement and relationship management with external supplier(s) selected to provide consultancy support for the project.
- Working closely with external consultancy firm during refresh of strategy process where required
- Close collaboration with Sr. internal stakeholders as extended Strategy PMO representatives from CCO, COO, Risk and Finance Domains to ensure proper development and alignment of supporting strategic priorities and OKR’s.
- Work closely with Group Communications/Corporate Secretary to prepare the updates for executive leadership (DLL board, joint governance body DLL/Rabobank, Management board members Rabobank) on a Quarterly base.

Essentials:
- At least 10 years of experience in the financial industry, strategy consulting or project management role, including leadership experience
- Project management and analytics skills
- Have a vision for the organization, able to collaborate and communicate in order to inspire action to take others on a journey. Clear ability to manage potential resistance during such a journey.
- Strong commitment and responsibility in ensuring that not only project deliverables, but also project results are achieved.
- Strong capabilities and experience in inspirational hierarchical / functional managing and steering
- Proven implementation power
- Excellent communication skills, able to influence senior leaders, develop strong network and understand needs of key stakeholders
- The ability to summarize complex matters in simple and clear terms
- Stakeholder Management and influencing skills
- Business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
Extras:
- Business experience in DLL’s line of business with high level of client engagement is preferable
- Rabobank experience is an asset
