Corporate Communications Intern

About the Role:

As a Corporate Communications Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the communications team in delivering impactful internal and external messaging. This hands-on internship offers the opportunity to gain real-world experience in corporate storytelling, employee engagement, and brand communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting and editing internal newsletters, announcements, and event communications
  • Support the creation of content for social media, press releases, blog posts, and thought leadership articles
  • Conduct research to inform communication campaigns and media outreach strategies
  • Help coordinate and promote internal events, town halls, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of presentations and other communication materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment

Day to Day

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to group initiatives
  • Draft social media posts in collaboration with the Corporate Communications team
  • Create and manage the weekly U.S. employee newsletter
  • Research and write articles for the corporate intranet
  • Compile daily media monitoring reports
  • Assist in developing thought leadership content for internal and external audiences
  • Prepare media lists and conduct targeted press outreach

 

Essentials

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • Junior or senior standing (minimum 60 credit hours completed)
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with AP Style
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience managing or contributing to social media platforms, especially LinkedIn
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset

Desired Primary Work Location: Wayne, PA / Des Moines, IA

Applicable pay range

$17-$20 per hour (undergrad) / $21-$23 per hour (Post Grad/Masters)
