Join us in building the Dutch Wholesale banking equipment-based financing and leasing business.

As a Senior Credit Underwriter, you will be responsible for analyzing, underwriting and advising capex- and equipment financing and leasing solutions for a portfolio of 100+ Dutch Wholesale clients.

You are

An analytical go-getter who works well with others. You understand customer financing needs in (alternative) equipment-based, leasing product solutions or asset based finance. You have gained experience in Wholesale banking commercial and/or risk underwriting roles and are tuned in to the needs of our customers and commercial managers. Together with the Wholesale Banking Account Manager you bear responsibility for defining and structuring transactions fit for our customers and within our DLL Risk appetite. You have excellent writing skills and know how to convincingly present your balanced risk/reward analysis in a credit application.  You work effectively in multidisciplinary (e.g. Sales, Legal, Asset Management) teams in the DLL and Rabobank Netherlands Wholesale Banking organization.

Day to day:

Your top 2 responsibilities are:

  • With the Account Manager you have a leading role in structuring, analyzing and advising asset-based financing and leasing transactions. You manage deal team processes leading to a credit application for decisioning, are responsible for the underwriting analysis and credit reports.
  • Work effectively with all relevant departments to deliver the best customer journey experience through our tailored solutions while ensuring to meet the risk/ reward standards

Essentials:

  • Master’s degree, e.g. in business economics
  • Highly experienced Credit /Risk Professional (10+ years) with a background in Wholesale Banking, amongst others within structured finance, asset-based finance, or leasing solutions.
  • Proven credit underwriting experience with superior credit application writing skills
  • Knowledge of multiple sectors like Food & Agri, Construction, Transport and Energy Transition in the Benelux area is preferred.
  • Encourages collaboration and has a “can do” mentality.
  • Growth mind-set aimed at continuously improving the business and the people you work with.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Proficiency in Dutch is a plus
