Sustainability Communications Intern

As a Sustainability Communications Intern, you will collaborate closely with the Sustainability Communications Business Partner (SCBP). Your role will involve assisting in planning and conducting preliminary reviews of key action items for 2025. Alongside the SCBP, you will work with various stakeholders to support meeting planning, development and review of primary communication products such as the Sustainability SharePoint, and other sustainability-related activities. Additionally, you will help sustainability specialists with tasks such as standardizing presentations, engaging with the sustainability community through posts and quizzes, drafting announcement articles, support in video creation, and much more exciting work!

Day to day:

Responsibilities can include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate closely with the Sustainability Communications Business Partners and specialists in the Sustainability department.
  • Assist in redesigning both internal and external sustainability sites (SharePoint, Website).
  • Assist in project management
  • Create engaging sustainability content for various platforms, including the Sustainability Community, Viva Engage, and our intranet, MyDLL.
  • Draft articles on sustainability and social impact based on provided outlines.
  • Support in tasks such as standardizing presentations, creating / editing videos.

  • Content Quality: How clear and engaging the content is.
  • Task Completion: Finishing tasks on time and successfully.
  • Engagement: Interaction levels on communication platforms.
  • Teamwork: Working well with others.

Essentials:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or (preferably) Master’s degree in communications, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Fully proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Excellent use of PowerPoint, Excel (amongst other Microsoft Office programs)
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and environmental issues, community engagement, communications.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

 

Extras:

  • Proficiency in Dutch and other languages will be beneficial.
  • Prior volunteer / work experience in communications.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Content creation and video editing skills.

Compensations:

The internship will start in February. You will receive an internship allowance of €350 - €500 gross per month, based on your educational level and 38 hours a week. If you work less, this amount will be prorated.
