Financial Analyst II

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Team Lead, the Financial Analyst II will assist in the financial reporting process, which incorporates reports prepared in accordance with applicable IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and regulatory reporting standards, and assist in the dissemination of those reports to all relevant stakeholders. The candidate will assist in the preparation of the Company’s required annual and quarterly filings required by our regulatory agencies, as well as our monthly internal reporting. The scope includes a detailed understanding of our general ledger and the ability to understand and respond to stakeholder questions in a timely and clear manner. The candidate will collaborate with colleagues in finance and other business leaders across the Company in order to understand and report financial results. The Financial Analyst II will work with a team of six members and a broader accounting team of 20+ members.

Day to Day

  • Assist in the execution of the financial and regulatory reporting processes in an effective manner and in compliance with Company policies, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), U.S. GAAP and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Assist in the month-end close process and ensure accurate and timely submission of financial data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare accurate financial information related to the recording of business activity in monthly, quarterly, annual, and other financial reports and submissions.
  • Lead the development, documentation, and implementation of robust regulatory and financial reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting workflows and improve data accuracy and efficiencies.
  • Stay informed of updates in internal policies, regulatory guidance, IFRS, and US GAAP, ensuring timely integration of changes into reporting practices and related documentation.
  • Support analytical reviews by assisting with variance analyses and providing insight on period-over-period financial fluctuations.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies related to general ledger account reconciliations, recommend and champion process changes to avoid on-going issues.
  • Review accounting and reporting tasks with a continuous focus on improving processes and enhancing financial reporting and controls.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as accounting, compliance, and tax to gather data and support business initiatives.
  • Assist with the annual external audits and act as a key liaison between the audit team and DLL.
  • Execute and document key controls in conjunction with the Company’s Risk Control Framework (RCF).
  • Monitor and support strong Electronic Audit Evidence principles in relation to RCF and provide training when needed.
  • Maintain Financial Reporting policies and procedures as well as annual training documents and complete at least annual updates to the materials.

Essentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 4+ years of public accounting experience or progress experience in banking or financial services.
  • CPA license a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle Financial and/or HFM a plus.
  • Experience with Federal Reserve Bank regulatory reporting a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables with agreed timeframes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Interest in reporting and analytical tools such as PowerBI and PowerQuery.

Applicable pay range

$76,446.40 - $ 114,669.60

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
