We are seeking to appoint a Trainee Risk Analyst for DLL Group in Ireland.
The DLL Ireland Risk Division primarily covers small / medium ticket leasing portfolios alongside tailored asset finance solutions and is involved in supporting global and local vendor programs across diverse business segments such as Food & Agriculture, Construction, Transport, Office Technology, Commercial Finance, Clean Tech & Energy Transition.

Following an extensive training period, the successful candidate will be expected to graduate to full Risk Analyst role within the credit team.
During your training period you will be rotated through all areas of Risk including Credit Assessment (both small ticket and large ticket), Commercial Finance and Portfolio Risk Management etc. Your initial focus will be in the area of Commercial Finance supporting our Dealer Stocking program.

Day to day:
- Preparing credit write ups as a sound basis for own decision-making or decision making by senior risk members.
- Detailed financial assessment of financial information and being comfortable with detailed written and verbal financial statement analysis.
- Working closely with internal sales teams to obtain required information on the deal and communicate decision.
- Working closely with internal Commercial Finance operations teams for Dealer Limit management / approvals.
- Occasionally attend dealer and end user meetings / calls to complete due diligence. This will be supported by senior credit analyst.
- Supporting generation and development of portfolio reporting.

Essentials:
This role would be suitable for someone coming out of university who is personable, has an interest in the wider finance world & is keen to make a valuable contribution from the start, in a finance company with a global reach. The ideal candidate should exhibit or possess the following characteristics and experience:
- Strong financial analysis skills & the ability to analyse data, identify patterns & draw conclusions. Specifically regards profitability, cashflow analysis & balance sheet assessment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with both technical & non-technical audiences.
- Organized and structured approach, whilst being comfortable working with short turnaround times.
- Friendly and approachable member who is able to network and help encourage enthusiasm in colleagues, customers and team members to reach a common goal.
- A team player who is willing to “go the extra mile” when required, via a flexible / adaptable approach to daily workload.

Education:
- Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) or Approved Product Advisor (APA) in Loans, with up-to-date CPD hours for the relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD) years. (If no APA held, the candidate must commit to qualifying within a two-year period to achieve APA in Loans at a minimum)
- A relevant 3rd level education in the field of business, finance or accounting is required.
