As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for analysing, structuring, negotiating and drafting of complex equipment financing and leasing solutions for opportunities in the Netherlands. Together with a small group of experts, you will support this specific market. You will also be part of the Legal Benelux team. Our mission is to contribute to the strategy and commercial goals of DLL Benelux.

You are

A structured and professional legal expert, who works well with others. You understand the needs of the customers and you are able to translate this to suitable and profitable solutions, within the boundaries of laws and (internal) regulations. You have excellent communication skills and are able through active stakeholder management within DLL and also towards the Rabobank, to provide clear legal advice. A complex puzzle, with multiple conflicting interest does not scare you, but motivates you to strive for a solution. You have excellent writing skills that result in clear and structured legal advice and correct and enforceable legal documentation.

Day to day:

• Tailormade contracts: You are responsible for a correct, complete and enforceable legal documentation. It concerns the larger structured deals within the Netherlands. Often you will actively participate in the negotiations with the relevant parties, such as the customer, the suppliers and their legal advisors.
• Legal advice: In order for DLL to make the correct and balanced decisions, it is essential that the complete risks and rewards are presented. Your advice must be legally correct and complete, and is also understandable for non-lawyers.
• Template documentation: You will build a library with templates that will serve as a bases for the contractual arrangements.

Essentials:

• Master’s degree in Dutch law mandatory
• Highly experienced legal professional (7+ years) - as a lawyer or in-house counsel - with experience in structured finance, asset-based finance, or leasing solutions.
• Encourages collaboration and has a “can do” mentality.
• Growth mind-set aimed at continuously improving the business and the people you work with.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Dutch
